Eight (8) St. Andrew residents have been arrested and charged in connection with the theft of approximately two thousand three hundred pounds of soursop that were reported stolen from a farmland at River Antoine, St. Patrick, in three separate incidents.
Jointly charged for the offense of Vagrancy are Anthony Edgar, 42 years, Farmer of La Poterie and Steffon John, 27 years, of Moyah. Both men are on 6-thousand dollars bail and are set to appear at the Sauteurs Magistrate’s Court on Thursday 27th August, 2020.
Due to appear at the said Court on September 19th 2020 are Roland Simon, 40 years, Farmer of Grand Bras, Terry Braveboy, 40 years, Farmer, Shondy Griffith, 19 years, Akim Fletcher, 22 years, all of Conference. They have been jointly charged for the offenses of Praedial Larceny and Vagrancy. Simon, Griffith and Braveboy have been placed on 15-thousand dollars bail while Fletcher was placed on 6-thousand dollars bail.
They are alleged to have stolen fifteen hundred pounds of soursop valued at seven thousand four hundred dollars. Additional charges of Praedial Larceny and Vagrancy were laid against Anthony Edgar who has been jointly charged with Lisroy Joseph, 47 years, Fisherman of Pearls and Akim Aberdeen, 21 years, Farmer, of La Poterie.
They are alleged to have stolen eight hundred pounds of soursop valued at four thousand dollars. They are also due to appear in Court on September 19th.
The offenses reportedly occurred between July 10th and August 1st, 2020.

Three St. George residents charged in connection with the death of Kimron Charles, alias “Greenman” of Beaulieu, St. George have been remanded to Her Majesty’s Prisons.
Ren Persue, 47, Plumber and Josh Cooper, 32, Mechanic, both of Boca along with Kevon Ventour, 38, Plumber of Beaulieu, appeared at the St. George’s Magistrate’s Court on Friday 21st August, 2020 jointly charged with Non-Capital Murder.
Charles’ body was discovered in the early morning of April 1st 2020 lying in a pool of blood with multiple gunshot wounds at a bi-road at Boca, St. George.
All three men will reappear in Court on Thursday 10th September, 2020.

Relative to an earlier release of a seizure of arms and ammunition recovered during police operations today (Thursday 20th August, 2020), officers of the Criminal Investigation Department arrested and charged Elon Francis, a 32 year old Steel Bender of Grand Mal, St. George, and Mario Griffith, 30 years, Businessman of Morne Jaloux, St. George.
Griffith was arrested and charged for Possession of Ammunition and granted bail in the sum of five thousand dollars ($5,000.00) with one surety.
Elon Francis was arrested and charged for Possession of Firearms and Ammunition and will make his first court appearance on Friday 21st August, 2020.
Police investigations are ongoing.

Members of the Royal Grenada Police Force (RGPF), have seized two illegal firearms during an early morning operation at Grand Mal, St. George.
One (1) pistol, one (1) Shot Gun, two (2) magazines, and several rounds of ammunition and spent shells were discovered during the operation.
One St. George resident is presently in police custody assisting with investigations.

Two men who appeared at the St George’s Magistrate’s Court on Monday 10th August, 2020 charged in connection with a slew of property offenses have been remanded to Her Majesty’s Prisons.
Kerin Frederick, 40 years, Painter of Beausejour (St. George) has been charged with ten (10) counts of damage to property, three (3) counts of housebreaking and stealing and one (1) count of housebreaking while Lindon Lambert, 37, of Paddock, (St. George) has been charged with four (4) counts of damage to property and two (2) counts each of housebreaking and stealing and stealing, respectively.
Frederick and Lambert are alleged to have committed the offenses during the period July 27th and August 3rd 2020, targeting several private homes, businesses and vehicles.
Police investigations are continuing.
