Responsibilities of Immigration Unit:
  • To impose restrictions on immigration and to regulate the deportation of aliens
  • The processing of Passengers & Vessels
  • Granting of Extension of Stay
  • Issuance of Visa
  • Endorsement of Skills Certificate
  • Vetting & Issuance of Work Permits, Permanent Residence and Citizenship
  • Collection of Embarkation Tax
  • Field Operations
Responsibilities of the Passport Unit:
  • The issuance of passports and other travel documents; including Seaman’s ID and Emergency Passport.( Sub-Offices  accept passport applications and deliver passports)

Passport Services and timeline
  • Regular Passport: $175.00 XCD
  • Replacement Passport: $350.00 XCD
  • Expedite Service: $50.00 XCD
  • Urgent Service: $100.00 XCD
  • Courier Service to all missions & overseas nationals (paid for by the applicants)
Immigration Services
  • Extension of Stay ($25.00 XCD per month or any part thereof)
  • Visa Issuance:
  • Single Entry: $100.00 XCD (valid for 3 months)
  • Multiple Entry: $250.00 XCD (valid for 1 year)
  • Embarkation Tax: $20.00 XCD per person
Requirements for Processing of Travel Documents:
 
Passport
  • Completed Passport Application form
  • Birth Certificate, Citizenship Certificate, Adoption Certificate, Marriage Certificate or Expired Passport; where applicable.
  • Two (2) passport size photographs or live capture image at the office
  • Consent letter for persons under the age of 16 years
  • Police Report/Affidavit in cases of lost/stolen or damaged passport
  • Treasury receipt:
  • Regular Passport: $175.00 XCD
  • Replacement Passport: $350.00 XCD
    • Expedited Service: $50.00 XCD
    • Urgent Service: $100.00 XCD
Processing Time
  • Passport: Three (3) business days
  • All other services upon application made
Seaman’s ID
  • Completed Seaman’s ID application form
  • Two (2) passport size photographs
  • Treasury receipt ($60.00 XCD)
  • Letter from the owner of the vessel
  • Or vessel documents in case of owner

Emergency Passport

  • Completed passport application form
  • Two (2) passport size photographs
  • Treasury receipt ($35.00 XCD)
  • Birth Certificate or Expired passport
