During a joint operation on Monday April 12th, 2021, by officers of the Rapid Response Unit and Drug Squad at Gouyave Estate, St. John; one 9mm Pistol, a magazine with four 9mm rounds of ammunition, three hundred and seventy-nine (379) grams of Cannabis and a quantity of cash were discovered.
The occupants of the house, Garth Thomas, 28 years, Businessman and Aldia Louison, 34 years, Room Attendant, of Gouyave Estate, St. John, were arrested and charged for the offences of Traffickinga Controlled Drug, Possession of a Firearm and Possession of Ammunition.
Thomas and Louison are expected to make their first court appearance on Thursday 15th April, 2021, at the Victoria’s Magistrate’s Court.
