Coast Guard Vessel Incident

On Monday May 31st, 2021, one of the vessels of the Grenada Coast Guard Unit was travelling to Grenada from Carriacou with several police officers aboard, when it encountered engine challenges in the vicinity of Mt. Rodney, St. Patrick.   The vessel drifted towards the shoreline where it ran aground.

 

 

None of the passengers were injured; the vessel received minor damages.

 

 

Investigation is ongoing.
