In Search of Animal Owners

Police are in search of the owners of three goats which are believed to have been stolen from the communities of Snell Hall / Mt. Rich in St. Patrick.

The (female) goats were among several that were recovered from the home of a Morne Jaloux (St. George) resident, who is currently assisting police with their investigators into a spate of island-wide criminal offenses.

Owners of these goats are asked to contact Sauteurs Police Station at 442 9224 or 442 1765 or visit same.

These animals will only be released upon proper identification and the information provided is also subject to verification.

Police investigations continue.

ACP Martin receives cheque from GM Donelan

The Marine Unit of the RGPF today (January 21st, 2014) welcomed a much needed monetary donation.

This kindly gesture was made by Camper and Nicholson Port Louis Marina whose Assistant General Manager, Danny Donelan, presented a cheque of $4094.00 EC to Assistant Commissioner of Police, Edvin Martin, for repairs to one of its maritime vessels, The Levera

The handing over ceremony was held at Spice Island Marine, True Blue, St. George, where The Levera is currently in dry dock awaiting repairs.  Presenting the cheque, Mr. Donelan in recognizing the yachting industry as critical to Grenada, expressed his company’s delight in assisting the Maritime Unit and at the same time gave the assurance of his company’s commitment in working together with the RGPF in ensuring Grenada remains safer.

If all goes as planned the 19 year old vessel, which is critical to the RGPF maritime operations and has been unseaworthy for quite some months, will be handed back to the RGPF within a week.

Repair work to the vessel will be done by Technick Yacht Services Limited.

The RGPF expresses its sincerest gratitude to Camper and Nicholson Port Louis Marina for their timely gift which will go a long way in assisting the Maritime Unit in its obligation to the maritime security of our nation.

Corporate Citizen Makes Donation to RGPF

Yet another act of good will by the Management of New York’s Finest Bagels to the RGPF.

Mr. Haji Mohammad Asghar, Owner/Manager, on Thursday 15th January, 2015 made a presentation of a quantity of revolving lights, to Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations, Edvin Martin.

ACP Martin in accepting the donation on behalf of Acting Commissioner Winston James, thanked Mr. Asghar for his continued support in helping to keep Grenada a safer place. ACP Martin also assured Mr. Asghar that the revolving lights would be used strategically to assist in preventing and curbing criminal activities throughout the tri-island state.

A personal note of thanks was also extended to Mr. Asghar by Acting Commissioner James.

Mr. Asghar assured the RGPF of his company’s commitment in continuing to assist the R.G.P.F in its fight against crime through initiatives like these.

ASGHAR is a member of the Citizen Advisory Body of the South St. George Police.

Note for Drivers Licence Holders

The Licence Department at Inland Revenue has resumed normal business. Drivers Licence holders, if unable to visit the office or is overseas, can send their document with payment receipt to have their Licence updated.

These persons are therefore asked to submit photograph and signature via email to licence@rgpf.gd. The photograph must be in JPEG and signature PNG format. In addition see this ID Photo Checklist document as a guide.

Sexual Offence Charge Slapped On Lagoon Road Man

 

The Grenville Police have arrested formally charged and cautioned Joseph GODDARD,

alias “Jeffrey”, a 31 year old Security Guard of Lagoon Road St. George’s on one count of “having sexual intercourse with a female under the age of sixteen years”.

The incident which involved a sixteen year old female surfaced via the social network on Tuesday 18th June, 2013, sparked speedy investigations by the Police resulting in this action.

GODDARD will be brought to the Grenville Magistrate Court on Friday 20th June, 2013. He stands to face a maximum penalty of fifteen years.

Meanwhile, the Police are continuing investigations in lieu of slapping further charges on the accused.

They are reigning monarch, Keturah George, Wet Paint, Steffie, Flying Puppy, Intruder, D Merchant, M.C.D and Sniper. There will guest appearences by Raymond Matthew “Beast”, Little Natty and Thunder and Mr. West. Music by the Police Band and a Popular D.J. Admission is FREE….Eats and Drinks on Sale. Show starts at 7:00pm. Its the jump start to Spice Mas Carnival 2k13. Be there.

Police Week Netball Competetion

Members of the media are invited to provide coverage of the RGPF 2013 Police Week Interclub Netball Competition, which will be held on Monday 27th May, 2013, at the Tanteen Netball Complex, commencing 6:00 p.m.

The competition will take the form of a round-robin contest and includes all four participating Clubs namely: Bedeau (Yellow), Clarkson (Red), Ogilvie (Blue) and James (Green).

 

A feature of the games will be a Club Masters Shoot out competition.

 

The RGPF also extends an invitation to the general public for their support.

Gilbert Charged With Murder

Gilbert Charged With Murder

45 years old Isaac Gilbert, Truck Driver of Pearls, St. Andrew, has been arrested and charged with murder,

in the death of 33 year old Marsha Cherman.

 

Cherman’s body was recovered from the outside of her Pearl’s residence with multiple chopped wounds, just after twelve on the morning of Tuesday 31st July, 2012. A post mortem conducted on the said date revealed she died from hypovolemic shock as a result of multiple chop wounds to her body.

 

Gilbert will make his first Court appearance on Thursday 2nd August, 2012 at the Grenville Magistrate’s Court at 09:00 a.m.
